From durability and heat resistance to reliability and stackability, there are many reasons to integrate our glass-reinforced composite products into your kitchen or production facility.

About Molded Fiber Glass Tray Company
MFG Tray Company is a material handling solution provider using composite materials. From our early beginnings of building trays for Wonder Bread in the 1950s to some of the materials and products we manufacture today—we’ve come a long way in our 70+ years.
We manufacture over 300 different trays, containers, and boxes. From confectionery and food service to pharmaceutical and medical, many industries use MFG Tray’s products to streamline their processes and boost their business. Many professional leaders in the food service sector prefer our glass-reinforced composite product because they’re:
Customizable
We have an extensive selection of dough boxes, proofing boards, pan extenders, and trays for the food service industry. Still, occasionally, you need something tailored to your business. So, whether you’re a mom-and-pop pizzeria or a global food manufacturer, we can develop individualized solutions for your specific processing challenges and applications. If one of our standard offerings doesn’t fit the bill, contact MFG Tray to discuss your precise handling and design requirements.
Dimensionally Stable
MFG Tray’s containers retain their original shape and structural integrity even when met with the rigorous material handling processes and harsh environmental conditions of industrial kitchens. Our composite material consistently withstands heavy loads without sagging, making it ideal for machine applications. From hot and cold to humid and arid conditions, you can count on MFG Tray to meet and exceed the challenges of the food service sector.
Exceptionally Strong
If you’re slinging lots of ‘za, you’re going through dozens, maybe even hundreds of pounds of dough daily. When you’re dealing with heavy ingredients, MFG Tray’s food storage and preparation products are critical. Thanks to their composite design, our trays and containers deliver unrivaled strength and weight-carrying capacity. In fact, we carry an array of standard products that can handle up to 800+ pounds, making their strength-to-weight ratio greater than that of aluminum or steel.
Impervious to Corrosion
Our glass-reinforced composite products offer an array of advantages over their metal counterparts. One of the most significant is their rust and corrosion resistance. Moreover, our trays and containers can withstand exposure to harsh chemicals, including mild acids, detergents, and alkaline solutions within the pH range of 3.0 to 12.0. In addition, our composite products are highly resistant to cutting oils, grease, and radiation.
Modifiable
Businesses across the globe use our standard material handling equipment products. But sometimes, those standard products just need a quick tweak to suit your needs. For that reason, MFG Tray offers fabrication options, such as adding drain holes, slots, grommets, or grooves, to a specific piece of equipment.
Reliable
Even in the hottest kitchens, MFG Tray builds our containers and trays to last. Many of our customers report using our products for up to 15 years without replacing them, ultimately yielding a high return on investment.
Temperature Resistant
Things get hot in the kitchen, which is why we made it a top priority to ensure our composite products are temperature resistant. In fact, our composite material is well suited to handle continuous temperatures ranging from -60° to 250° F (-51° to 121° C) and intermittent temperatures up to 300° F.
Stackable
When there are a lot of chefs in the kitchen, the room gets tight. Thankfully, with our products’ dimensional stability, they’re built for stacking even under heavy weight. Not only will they not bend or sag, but they’re also nestable when empty, saving you and your team room in the kitchen.
User-Friendly and Light
Our trays, totes, and storage bins are undoubtedly ideal for machine integration, but their ergonomic design is also optimized for helping your team move easier and efficiently. With a people-focused design, they’re simple to carry and stack. Additionally, if you opt for the Ultra-Lite option, they’re 40% lighter than standard fiberglass products and still maintain their strength and durability.
